“People of accomplishment rarely sat back and let things happen to them.
They went out and happened to things.” – Leonardo da Vinci
This is a quote Shashank Nigam not only believes in, but lives by.
Shashank Nigam is a certifiable aviation geek (he claims he can tell a plane’s model and airline just by staring at it flying overhead - within sight, of course). His global travels at a young age have given him much exposure to a whole spectrum of airlines and piqued his interest so much that he decided to start a blog about them in March 2008.
So, where does branding fit in? There are already a number of blogs about airlines, so Shashank decided to tap on his deep interest brand management and applied it to airlines. He has been a contributing author of “Magic Numbers for Sales Management” (Wiley Winter 2007) and “Measuring Marketing: 103 Key Metrics Every Marketer Needs” (Wiley Fall 2006). He has also been writing commentaries for The New Paper in Singapore for over a year, and currently writes for Interbrand's BrandChannel.com on airline branding.
Shashank was born and brought up in New Delhi, spent most of his adolescent years in Singapore and currently resides in Boston.
Life is about not just working towards, but realizing your dreams. And that's what he aims to do this year - get there!
